Happy 2025! We wish you a all the best and a lot of Excursions too! After the crazy Christmas edition at Caserne Fonck last month, we’re back at Kultura with one of our favorite collectors from brussels, francis 99!
Alexander Francis carries music with him wherever he goes—both in his heart and in his bag. Since the Y2K bug, he’s spent countless hours spelunking in record shops and tunnelling through music forums online, amassing a labyrinth of sounds through which he knows all the shortcuts.
As a DJ, francis99 leads his listeners on sonic expeditions, seamlessly navigating through genres and eras. With a wide scope and a sharp ear, he explores a vast musical map, transitioning from smooth US and UK house to the intricate layers of minimal, techno, and electro. Occasionally, he weaves in folk, downtempo and ambient music for chill-out sessions. His style is deeply influenced by his love for hip hop, through his long standing membership of the Luvgang dj crew, and his affection for electronic music that he shares with his friends from Planet. Francis’ passion and dedication shine through, and his enthusiasm invites listeners to join him on an exciting adventure.
